  •  Mindfulness
  •  Cognitive Analytic Therapy
  •  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

I have specialist interest and experience in:

  • Teen mental health - Adolescence is a challenging time and one where teens are vulnerable to emotional distress. My aim is to help teenagers have a space to understand and make sense of their experiences, explore issues relating to their changing identity and develop positive narratives about themselves. Equipping teenagers with ways of positively supporting their mental health is key to developing resilience going into adulthood.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder - I have extensive experience working with children and adults with autism. I am able to offer specialist diagnosis assessment, adapted therapy and social skills training for those with autism. I also support families adjust to diagnosis.
  • Paediatric Allergy - Psychological support for those living with allergies is severely lacking in the UK. Having led the largest allergy psychology service in the UK, I am passionate about supporting those living with allergy and the associated impact on psychological wellbeing.

 Next stages

If you feel comfortable to, we will talk on the phone prior to any meeting, so I can get a brief understanding of your difficulties and whether I could help. I will then suggest meeting for an initial appointment (assessment), which usually takes 1-2 sessions. In this time I can get an understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing and can recommend the best course of therapy based on this. We will also set goals for what you would like to achieve from therapy. After this time we can start therapy to work on your goals. I can work with you short or long term, but I will continuously review how we are progressing.
